Organoid-based assays for functional personalized medicine strategies

The ORGANOMIC project aims at developing functional personalized medicine tests exploiting PDOs. These cell-based assays have the potential to complement or expand on the genomic approaches currently used in precision medicine. We aim at combining PDOs with microfluidic devices called “tumor-on-chips” to allow the generation, standardization, and functional assessment of PDOs.

The ORGANOMIC project aims at delivering two predictive (CHEMOGRAM and IMMUNOGRAM) and one prognostic (INVAGRAM) devices for digestive and lung cancers. It is divided into 5 Workpackages (WP) articulated as follows:

Management, Valorisation, Economic evaluation & Dissemination

Ensure deliverables production & ORGANOMIC successful completion

Clinical trials & PDO generation

Improvement of the treatment of frequent and severe cancers

PRE-ANALYTIC: Tumour-on-chip designs for ORGANOGRAMs

Drug screen PDOs using high-throughput robotic method for an estimate of 175-345 patients

Automatic Processing of Organograms

Development of robust algorithms for the automatic processing of PDO images
